Ferns: Connie Grey

Connie Grey has been a plant professional for nearly 50 years, almost all her time in Georgia.

In the late 1980s she began studying native plants and the impacts of current development and landscaping  methods on our natural ecosystems.

She has worked for government agencies, nonprofits, and private businesses. She has taught classes in plant identification, southeastern plant communities, sustainable gardening methods, problems of invasive plants, ferns, and other topics.

Currently, Ms. Grey is mostly retired, but still is an administrator and group expert for a Facebook native plant group, She also serves as the program coordinator, co-planner of the plant sale, and board member of the Athens-East Piedmont Chapter of the Georgia Native Plant Society.
